The Chinatown and Little Italy Food Tour offers more than just amazing food. Along the way, we'll explore historic landmarks, take in vibrant street art, and uncover the rich history that has shaped these two iconic neighborhoods.
1. Tasty Dumpling
We'll start our food tour at Tasty Dumpling, one of New York City's most popular dumpling spots. Here, you'll try their signature Beijing-style pan-fried dumplings—crispy on the bottom and juicy inside. As you eat, you'll learn about the history of dumplings and how they are made.

2. Mosco Street
On our way to the next food stop, we'll walk through Mosco Street, a small but notable spot in Chinatown. Despite its size, it features unique Chinese street art and provides one of the best vantage points for capturing a great photo of One World Trade Center.

3. Doyers Street
Our next stop is Doyers Street, also known as the infamous Murder Alley. While we're here, we'll learn about the history of the street and it's ties to the Chinese Gangs of the 1800s.

4. Mei Lai Wah
Our next food stop is the iconic Mei Lai Wah, a Chinatown staple for over 60 years. Known for serving the best Cantonese roast pork buns in the city, this spot is a must-visit. Their buns are filled with sweet, sticky, and slightly spicy char siu pork, delivering a bold and flavorful bite that's hard to forget.

5. Spongies Cafe
Next, we’ll head to Spongies Cafe to try a Hong Kong-style sponge cake paired with a sample of their homemade sweet Thai tea. The light, airy cake and the refreshing tea make for the perfect combination—a unique and delicious treat you won’t want to miss!

6. Mulberry Street and Welcome to Little Italy Sign
As we leave Chinatown and step into Little Italy, we'll have an opportunity to stop at the Welcome to Little Italy sign. This iconic spot offers the perfect location to take a quick picture in the heart of Little Italy with the Empire State Building in the background. As we walk down Mulberry Street we'll learn more about the local history of Little Italy.

7. Piemonte Ravioli
Our first food tasting in Little Italy will be at Piemonte Ravioli, a family-owned pasta-making store that’s been a Little Italy staple for over 100 years. While we’re there, you’ll get to try their handmade potato gnocchi with a homemade marinara sauce.

8. Nolita Pizza
You can't visit Little Italy without trying pizza—and if you're going to have pizza, why not go for the best? Our next stop is Nolita Pizza, a popular spot known for serving some of the best Margherita pizza in the city.

8. Mulberry Street Bar
Next, we'll take a quick stop outside of the Mulberry Street Bar. This iconic bar and restaurant may look familiar as it has been featured in popular mafia movies and shows including The Sopranos, Goodfellas, and The Irishmen.

9. Audrey Hepburn Mural
As we walk back down Mulberry Street we'll stop in front of the mural of Audrey Hepburn, a striking piece of street art that captures her timeless elegance in the heart of Little Italy.

10. Caffé Palermo
Our final stop is Caffé Palermo, a Little Italy staple since 1973. Here, we'll sample one of their famous Italian cannoli, widely recognized as the best cannoli in New York City.

Is the food tour suitable if I have dietary restrictions?

Will the tour be canceled due to bad weather?
Our food tours run rain, hail, or shine, but we understand if you’d prefer to reschedule or cancel due to unfavorable weather. Simply contact us at least 24 hours before your tour starts, and we’ll gladly accommodate your request. However, please note that cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are non-refundable, as we coordinate food tastings with our restaurant partners ahead of time.
Is the tour suitable for children?
Yes! Children and infants are more than welcome to join the Chinatown and Little Italy food tour. We also offer discounted pricing for children under 12 years of age with tickets only costing $65pp and infants under the age of 3 are free.
Is there enough food during the food tour?
Our advice is to come hungry to the tour! We've created our Chinatown and Little Italy food tours to ensure that everyone leaves the tour feeling full. We have 6 different food stops along the way ranging from small bites to larger samples. Whether you're a big eater or small eater we have plenty of food available to make sure you leave satisfied.
Is there a lot of walking?
This tour has around 1 mile (1.5 kilometers) of walking in total. On the Chinatown and Little Italy food tour, we stop every 5-10 minutes with plenty of opportunities to sit down and take a break.
How many people per tour?
We like to keep our food tour groups small to ensure that you get as much face time with your tour guide as possible and they can answer all your questions. The maximum amount of people on the tour will be 15 guests but most of the time our tours have between 2-10 guests. If you would prefer to do a private food tour we also offer those as well.
Can I choose my own food?
Our tours feature pre-organized food selections to ensure a curated experience. However, we can accommodate certain dietary restrictions with suitable substitutes when notified in advance. For a customized tour experience, we offer private food tours that can be tailored to your preferences.
Do I need to make a reservation for the foods of NY tours?
All tours must be booked in advance. Booking typically closes the day before the tour on any of our NYC food tours.
